The suffix -philia, of Greek origin, means fondness, love or sympathy for something. For instance: Anglophilia, bibliophilia, cinemaphilia.
The suffixes they are morphemes, that is, small units that are added to the end of a word to change its meaning.
The suffix -philia is opposed to the prefix -phobia, which means "aversion" or "rejection."
(!) Exceptions
There are no exceptions to words that end in -philia that do not have to do with this suffix associated with the idea of fondness or love for something.
