The mexican sayings are phrases that express ideas, maxims or observations and that originated or are used in Mexico. For instance: There is no mole if it is not ground.
As the sayings convey popular knowledge, their meaning is almost never literal and they are understood by a community of speakers, Mexican sayings are probably not understood outside of Mexico or outside the region in which they are uses.
In addition, many of these sayings have words that are Nahuatlisms, that is, words that come from the nahuatl and that they adapted to Spanish, therefore, only people who know these terms will be able to understand the meaning of the saying.
