Apositional Metaphor
The appositional metaphor it's a kind of metaphor in which the relationship between the real term and the metaphorical term is established with an apposition. For instance: That house, a nest of crows, scared me a lot.
A metaphor is a Figure of speech that contains two terms: the real, which refers to something that exists in reality and may or may not be in the text, and the metaphorical term, which refers to the real term but with a figurative sense. For a metaphor to be produced it is important that the two terms have a relationship of similarity in meaning.
A apposition is a word or a construction that is between commas and that modifies a noun to make some kind of clarification or to give more information about it. For instance: Juan, my uncle, is a great lawyer.
