Deductive and inductive paragraphs
The deductive paragraphs are those paragraphs in which the main idea is at the beginning of the paragraph. The inductive paragraphs are those paragraphs in which the main idea is at the end of the paragraph.
A paragraph is a unit of a text that is made up of one or more sentences, beginning with a capital letter and ending with a new paragraph. The texts are organized in such a way that each paragraph deals with a central theme.
In deductive paragraphs the main idea is narrated in a sentence that is at the beginning of the paragraph. This main idea is a general reasoning on a topic and secondary ideas are derived from it, which can be examples, ideas of development, arguments, phenomena or particular events.
In the inductive paragraphs, the starting point is particular phenomena, arguments or examples, that is, ideas secondary, to arrive at the main idea, which is a conclusion or a generalization of the aforementioned in the paragraph.
In addition, there are inductive-deductive paragraphs, in which the main idea is in the middle, that is, between the development sentences.
