Compound verbs
They are called compound verbs to those that are constructed with two verb forms. In Spanish, this type of verb combines the assistantto have and a participle. For instance: I had hugged, we had eaten, I had competed.
On the contrary, simple verb tenses they are made up of a single verb form. For instance: hug, eat, compete.
The verbs they are terms that express action, movement, existence or state. Syntactically, they constitute the core of the predicate. In the Spanish language, this class of words also offers information about who performs the action and when, because it includes morphemes of person, number, time, aspect and voice in its ending.
Compound verb tenses
The compound verb tenses are constructed as follows:

- There are verbs that present the participle with another ending. For example: die (dead), release (loose), tell (saying), do (done).
- There are others that have two partities. For example: fry (fried, fried), to print (printed, printed), attend (attentive, attended), provide (provided / provided), awaken (awake, awake).
