What are wind instruments?
They are musical instruments that form part of from the category of wind sounds with a compositional structure, in where musical aspects such as harmony, rhythm and sequence interveneto; to generate music.
The resource par excellence that is used to produce sound is that the human being himself through the mouth to produce the sound that is required and thus generate music.
Within the composition of music, which can be manifested in various musical genres, it can be presented as background or foreground music depending on the indication in the scores, which can be articulated by a single person-instrument or by a specific group as accompaniment musical.
How is the sound / music produced?
This is produced by means of the wind instrument through a specific mechanism that consists of taking advantage of a column that has its own instrument, through which the air will pass that will generate a sound with vibrations and has an outlet that is modulated by mechanisms such as holes and buttons to create melodies.
Characteristics:
As we know, the way to produce a sound that results in music is through vibrations that the human being modulates.
To achieve this goal, over the years, humans have sought materials and ways to design musical instruments using as raw material at least two resources such as wood and metal.
The ability to add various types of sounds to an instrument over the years went away discovering and optimizing, both the physical shapes and the number of holes with which he could tell.
That is, as certain holes were added (or vice versa), new musical scales were found. Once this has been achieved, man has insisted on discovering and perfecting new forms of sounds to give the harmonies an aesthetic value.
As can be seen, the level and type of musical sound that can be developed from a specific instrument will depend on the way it was designed and the holes with which count. In addition to the intensity with which the necessary amount of air is added through the mouth.
Musical instruments in categories:
Brass Instruments:
This type of wind instrument, produced through the raw material formed by metal, makes that from the musical structure, very strong and powerful sounds are produced that well managed musically produce melodies interesting
The way in which these types of instruments can generally be found is through a kind of funnel, accompanied in the holes, by a kind of keys or pistons that when pressed by the fingers, produce the sounds desired.
Some examples of this type of instrument we can cite: the trumpets, the trombone, the tuba, the saxophone and the organ.
Wooden instruments
In this second category, the instruments are developed from the raw material called wood. These make it possible to generate sounds with a melodious charge. In addition to that the music allows it to be presented with soft and relaxing tones.
This type of instrument to produce the desired sound uses the passage of a stream of air well managed by the musician, which generates vibrations with a certain tremor. Some examples of this type of instrument are the flute, clarinet and bassoon.
