In Spanish, sentences are made up of two syntactic elements that form the basic structure of the sentence: subject and predicate. The predicate, in particular, is the syntactic function that informs us about something that does or happens to the subject. The predicate is a fundamental element of sentences, and can be of different types, especially according to the kind of verb or verbs that make it up.
In each example, the predicate of the sentence is highlighted in bold.
