WWW stands for World Wide Web and literally represents the international spider web. It is a Web server, and of all those existing today it is the most widely used. The origin of the World Wide Web dates back to 1989, when the English physicist Tim Berners-Lee presented a novel communication system, based on the use of computer networks that achieved scientists who were working on the same subject and distanced by thousands of kilometers, having the immediate access to information originating from colleagues, such as documentation, databases, etc., without having to turn around the universe.
On the World Wide Web, you can jump to a new page from any page to expand, contrast or complete all the information that appears. This great procedure, which has no limits, is what has given the name of "browsing" to the action of browsing web pages.
In other words, we can establish that the meaning of WWW is that of a global network at the world level, relating to an immense network of computers. This structure is represented by a set of hyperlinks accessible through the Internet network. Hyperlinks facilitate users to move and navigate from one web page to another through the use of a browser
It is necessary to know that WWW or Web does not mean the same as Internet, since the Web represents a sub-set of the Internet network and is made up of sites or pages that we can access with the help of a program browser. The Internet is the network of all networks and is where information is found. For example, games, e-mail, etc., are part of the Internet, but not the Web.
Today, the Web has become an ideal tool for publishing all kinds of information on the Internet, to the point of becoming a form of commerce through which users can select any class of online products and make their purchases using credit and debit card information in a very safe and effective.
