The letter f is the fifth letter within the Castilian alphabet, it has its origins in Egyptian hieroglyphics, where It represented the mace, being a sign with a staff with a circle on its upper part and a point that ends it.
In Spanish the letter f occupies a very important place and forms one of the most used consonant letters, found in words with f mainly at the beginning of words, followed by words with the central f, and very few with an ending with f and generally of foreign origin.
In Spanish it is known as efe in the singular and efes in plural.
