The notion of calendar is a invention purely and exclusively human whose main objective is the organization and structuring of something so outside our scope like time and its passing. Calendars are visual forms of make concrete the passage of time and, in addition to serving to transform it into something specific and visible, the calendar mainly serves to allow the best organization of the hours, days and months that follow one another continually.
I know esteem that the creation of calendars is impossible to date since many distant civilizations in time and space generated their own ways of understanding time, through different ways visuals. Calendars arise, regardless of time or place, always with a goal main: that of organizing time for social, religious, administrative, political, economic. While many cultures did not reach develop some kind of calendar as we know it today, they did have a clear conscience the passage of time according to the seasons of nature or other similar phenomena.
The calendars as we use them assume the successive course of hours, days, weeks, months and years, although the mode of represent this course can vary greatly. Today calendars divide the period known as the year into 365 days of 24 hours each. To the fourth year, one more day is added due to the rotation of the planets around the Sun.
Calendars are certainly essential today since modern society bases its activities largely in clear and defined temporal structures, unlike what happened in other times. In this sense, the calendar serves to better organize time and waste time. less possible number of minutes and hours. Calendars can come in different shapes and variations, although they are generally not too large for convenience and practicality. There are also different formats of electronic and digital calendars.
