The term aversion is one that is used to refer to a negative feeling that a person may have about another person, an object, a situation, etc. Aversion, unlike others feelings negative, is based on a certain irrationality or a certain lack of control that the person has over that sensation. In reality, most of the negative sensations or feelings hide a certain irrationality or work on the mind at the unconscious level, which is why it is not easy, as in the case of aversion, to fully decipher what they are due to. The idea of aversion differs, for example, from the idea of repudiation since the latter is usually related to a certain choice. conscious of the person about the object that generates discomfort (for example, when people who mistreat the animals). However, aversion already gives us an idea of an internal feeling that the person does not know or cannot explain good and what can not control, which is why it arises every time the object of dislike in question is thought of.
Aversion is a very difficult type of feeling to explain in rational terms and this is what it does that it is so difficult to solve in those cases in which it presents real complications for the person. All individuals present to a greater or lesser extent some grade aversion destined for something or someone: some food, some insect, some type of personality, some act or circumstance, etc. This does not necessarily mean that the person cannot normally live with that aversion.
However, there are cases in which this aversion is inexplicable and the person cannot effectively control their feeling of discomfort or disgust for which she is confronted to suffer or avoid situations in which that object of aversion appears. In many cases, the aversion can turn into a obsession or mania and seriously making life difficult for a person.
