The chronicle responds to the model journalistic oldest. It begins with orality, gestural language, since man had the need to communicate. The oral tradition, the epic and the legends constitute the antecedents.
The word chronicle, derives from the Greek word "chronos" what does it mean "weather"This journalistic model receives its name, because the information it provides is presented chronologically.
The chronicle, as a form journalistic, corresponds to a narrative rich in descriptions. It is the exhibition, the narration of an event, in the order in which it was developed; It is characterized by transmitting, in addition to information, a clear and concise description of the events, their context, their space and time.
It is preferably the expressive form of the journalism informative, but there is also the interpretive chronicle, deeper, with more research, in which it is sought, without giving an opinion on the subject, why and why. It is the story of a recent event, developed in the most extensive and detailed way that simple information can provide.
Example of a journalistic chronicle entitled: Homicide on request
A truth that was never found. The first suspicions spoke of a murder for hire. Police and Justice never disclosed the depth of the investigations. The cause would be at a standstill.
On Friday, January 24, 1997, the inhabitants of Pergamino and Colón were moved. In the neighboring city, a police chronicle of these characteristics had never been recorded. The clock at the “El Sol” Confectionery, owned by the victim, read 0.26. A red Fiat stopped three meters from a table that was shared by “Pancho” Torrecilla and Faustino Paz. The vehicle was left in motion and two individuals got out and without a word fired at close range with a 38 caliber revolver and a jacketed 9 mm pistol.
The dead Parchmentian received two bullets in his body. One entered the inguinal area and in his trajectory interested the lumbar vertebrae. The killer shot while walking. The second went point-blank and exploded under the armpit, perforating the aorta vein in its trajectory, and breaking the tenth lumbar vertebra, lodging in the right hemithorax. On his side, Faustino Paz was shot in his right leg.
The professionalism of the executors was outstanding. The cold blood of the murderer who, in the middle of a very busy street, needed only two bullets to kill Torrecilla, this shows his professionalism. For his part, he drew attention that the second villain fired into the air to distract passersby, to frighten and paralyze them. A very "fine" methodology used in street attacks by criminals with high school. The murderers were certain and achieved confusion on the scene of the attack.
The chief commissioner of the former Region VII of San Nicolás, Héctor Enrique Penini, in a press conference given in On Thursday, January 30, 1997, Pergamino argued: “The homicide has caught our attention due to its features". The uniformed man made comments about the way in which the killers acted and their professionalism, which could be linked to a crime for hire. A few months later, an anonymous one arrived at the hands of the investigators who they said could clarify the fact that had moved Pergamino. The conclusions reached by the investigation were never known. The unofficial versions spoke about precise data, alleged murderers and the amount paid to carry out the execution. The truth never arrived despite consigning 15 men to search for data, indications and details. The hypotheses were many. The "off the record" spoke of possible links with clandestine gambling and a war between mafias.
The truth or the lie is well hidden and the actors were the protagonists of a sinister plot.
