A cliff is understood as a point of elevation in a Mountain, higher than altitude of the surrounding surface. The cliff is synonymous with rock and is used to designate the highest elevations of the mountain from which a large part of the entire mountain range or surface that surrounds it can be observed. The cliff is undoubtedly the point that all climbers and mountaineers want to reach because it is normally the top of the mountain. However, its access is never easy and requires a lot of effort and good physical condition.
The cliff is a type of surface that earns its features mainly from the erosion. This is so because it is considered that the surface surrounding a cliff loses height due to erosion, as much erosion of the air as from Water. Leaves this thus a more important peak or point that stands out picture total. The cliffs are always rock formations and in some cases they can be covered by other natural elements such as vegetation or snow, depending on how high they are.
It is important to note that although the cliff, being a higher surface peak, can become the top of a mountain, it is also true that a mountain can have several cliffs on its surface until finally reaching the one with the greatest height owns. This can be seen by observing some mountains whose surface is very irregular and steep, counting on several peaks of height that are also surpassed by others that are part of it Mountain.
Unlike what happens with the plateaus, the cliffs are usually very narrow and steep points of surface, so reaching them is always very difficult and requires a great effort as well as great preparation.
