In the process of creating new ideas, it is very convenient to start from some previous premises. In other words, you have to ask yourself a series of initial questions and try to answer them. Thus, we must ask ourselves what needs we want to satisfy or what new aspect we can incorporate. This type of approach is applicable to any circumstance, be it the idea of a draft, a service, a new product or the improvement of something that already exists.
It is the implementation of a creative process to generate useful ideas
It is an approach based on inventiveness and innovation. Who introduced this new perspective was the industrial engineer Tim Brown. Design Thinking or Thought from Design started at IDEO, his own innovation consulting company.
In a few years the new strategy has expanded in all sectors, especially in the business world. With this concept, aims that all products and services can meet the needs of customers and users.
The proposal as a methodology
This concept implies a way of to think creative and, at the same time, analytical. It is not just a matter of having good ideas, but that these are viable from an economic and technical point of view.
Every method is based on general guidelines and in Design Thinking there are five rules that must be considered
First, you need to enter the empathy with the people. If people from different areas are involved in a shared project, there must be a harmony between them.
Second, you have to define the problem you want to solve or the challenge you want to overcome.
At a third level, possible solutions must be devised. To do this, you must introduce an open mindset and without any restrictions. It is at this stage of the method that the creativity.
The fourth level consists of creating a prototype. In this way, when the solution To the initial problem, a general model or prototype is presented. It is about establishing a first model of a future sequence.
Finally, the final product must be evaluated. This implies that the prototype created has to be evaluated and tested to see if it is really viable and useful.
