There is not much difference between a "normal" hard drive and an external hard drive. It could be said that they are the same and in fact they are, however the use made of the latter varies so much that they seem like two different devices.
An external hard drive is out of the components of the computer and connects to the PC via a cable USB. These discs are used mainly to store data that is valuable to us. To say in passing that the loss of data can cause depression in people and very deep depressions that must be treated with medication. That is why in companies and workplaces the information is always in several places. In this way, a cataclysm would have to happen to lose all our valuable data.
The external disk consists of a normal hard disk: 3.5 inches or small that is 2.5 inches. To any of these disks an adapter is attached to convert it into USB and it is surrounded by a perforated chassis, so that it can be screwed to the hard disk. For large external hard drives, a power supply must be attached to them.
feeding or external charger, this is useful when the disk also has a board with a printed circuit that allows us to connect the disc to our smart television or also to our DTT (Digital Television Land). In this way we can watch movies or videos and hearmusic on our television screen. An example of an external hard drive by coupling to a device. In this way you can easily manage multiple disks externally.
Today, external hard drives carry on their circuit board technology DTT and WIFI (Wireless Fidelity) to connect directly and wirelessly to devices compatible with these working standards. Those that have built-in WIFI can function as real online servers. They can be connected to a router to be able to access your data saved on the disk from anywhere in the world that has Internet.
Those who have DTT are able to receive television channels and record those that we are interested in seeing. There are also devices to which we can connect any normal hard drive and turn it into an external hard drive.
It should be noted that external hard drives are very fragile, with only falling half a meter towards the ground, they can be damaged. This is because the magnetic heads that read the information become misaligned and lose the ability to read the information, since they can only read the information to a certain distance of the disk.
