Natural fibers are pieces of hair or thread that come from nature, that is, they are obtained directly from animals or plants, and are spun to produce threads or threads.
Undoubtedly, natural fibers make up fabrics that have become essential and very important fabrics for society, because they are not only produced and marketed so that the people dress and shelter but also to contribute to the development of industries that boost the economies of the countries of the world.
Plant and animal fibers
We can then distinguish this type of fiber in plants and animals. The former are obtained from the hairiness of some seeds, such is the case of cotton, flax, hemp, sisal, abaca, coir, ramie, jute.
And in the fibers from animals, wool (angora, alpaca mohair), hair (camel) and secretions such as silk.
Millennial use for the manufacture of clothing and other textiles
Since the most ancient times of the human being, natural fibers have been present and are used and privileged as much or the same as other sectors of the
economy as the farming and the cattle raising. Some research shows that as early as 5,000 B.C. There was a presence of cotton on the planet, in the territories that today Mexico and Pakistan occupy, to name a few concrete examples. Jute, coir and woolen fabric were widely used by humans thousands of years ago for warmth and cover yourself from inclement weather, especially in those areas harsher in terms of time as it was Siberia. Now the methods of production textiles made from natural fibers have evolved fantastically as a result of advances in technologyHowever, the uses we give it today are not different from yesterday... Because basically natural fibers are used today to make dresses and other garments for daily use or for decor of home with textiles
Those fibers that do not have a natural origin are called chemical fibers. Currently modern fibers are produced that are synthetic and artificial, including nylon, rayon, acrylic, polyester.
