It is designated as educational orientation to the set of activities aimed at students, parents and teachers and whose mission is to promote the development of their activities within the specific scope of educational centers.

The educational orientation is responsible for: study and promote both the pedagogical, psychological and socioeconomic capacities of individuals , with the intention of associating their personal development with that of their country.
This specialty aims to act preventively and also in the development of the potential of those to whom it is directed.
That the students or the people to whom it is directed develop knowledge, capacities, values and competences in various areas so that they can then act effectively in the social context that concerns them and in which they live.
The procedures most used are interviews, group dynamics, tutorials, intervention, among others.
Support in the teaching and learning process
Since its creation, educational guidance was conceived as an assistance and accompaniment procedure intended for students, teachers and families in general, in all aspects inherent to the growth.
Continuous practice and intervention throughout the educational process, among all the actors involved, will guarantee success.
The aforementioned discipline is generally carried out and coordinated by psycho-pedagogical teams in Early Childhood Education and Primary and by the area responsible for orientation in the school high school.
In some way, educational guidance will act as support of the teaching process-learningbecause it deals with providing the tools so that teachers can organize themselves more effectively in their work and also in this way facilitate the performance of their students.
On the other hand, it will also take care of facilitating the teaching and learning process in those students who present specific educational needs, thus offering a solution to the diversity individual beyond origins and differences. Likewise, it will contribute its own in what professional and academic orientation refers, since the students will receive through the teachers the help to get to know each other better and the different study alternatives to follow, once the basic learning cycle is completed.

But the thing is not only beneficial for the students, and educational guidance is also a very useful tool for teachers, as it will help them in more personal issues such as occupational health and career, and of course, these are aspects that undoubtedly indirectly affect the relationship with students.
At present, this branch closely linked to psychopedagogy, is taught in a large part of the institutions higher education, in Format master's or postgraduate degrees, and is aimed at teachers, pedagogues, psychologists, psychopedagogues, among other professionals, who intend to carry out specialized training in content and practices that positively favor the teaching and learning processes learning.
As we have just pointed out, this discipline is in very close association with another very relevant one in the field of training, such as psychopedagogy.
Pedagogy is precisely concerned with studying human behaviors in a learning context, such as problems in this field as well as vocational guidance.
As we know, the correct formation of a person, at all levels and aspects, is essential when it comes to their proper development and success in life.
The knowledge acquired, added to the capacities of each individual fully developed, are key when it comes to allow a person to successfully insert himself in all the fields in which he intervenes: social, labor, among others.
