The term "conference" is used to refer to various situations. For example, a conversation between two or more people for the purpose of initiating or reviewing a business or employment agreement. Also and commonly it is spoken of "conference" when speaking of a dissertation public or a exposition of a referent, intellectual, political or important personage. On the other hand, you may also want to refer to a meeting of political representatives or international referents of a particular community or disciplinary field such as religion and other cases. Many times it is spoken of "conference" in the educational field, in relation to talks, seminars or classes that a group of students can attend as part of their university training. Even in informal terms, telephone or web communications can be classified in terms of “conference” or “teleconference”, especially with regard to the labor field.
Of all the various meanings of the word, the most frequently used is that associated with
the exposure that a public figure makes of a particular theme or subject area. Conferences can take place in different settings and for various purposes.The most popular is the one that gives a reference that can be a politician, artist, analyst, businessman, entrepreneur, intellectual, philosopher, writer or any other specialist on a topic that offers a talk in order to internalize the public about their personal experiences, the development of a draft present or future, a discovery or launch or the details of your own scientific, social or artistic knowledge. This type of conference can be open to the general public or take place in closed environments as part of international meetings or expert congresses.
Another type of conference is, as we mentioned, the one that occurs in the educational field. In this case the end almost excluding is to inform and educate an audience of students about some aspect related to their academic training and, therefore, usually has a didactics rather pedagogical.
Conferences that occur in a team or workplace often have the purpose of informing the rest of the members about the latest work progress, future projects, state of the institution, etc.
Finally, another very frequent case of a conference is one that provides a character or group of characters for journalism, known as a “press conference”. In this instance, the exhibitor usually gives his personal perspective on an event that may be of a politics, social, sports or other, and open the game for the accredited press to ask questions about it.
