    The avarice it is understood as the deep desire of a person to accumulate wealth, material goods or power in excess, even when they are not needed to live. The thinker Erick Fromm equates greed with a bottomless pit, due to the need that certain people have, no matter what they already have, to want even more and never be satisfied.
