The adversarial links are those that join two sentences or statements to oppose their ideas, that is, between both sentences there is going to be some sense of opposition or contrast. In this sense, the adversative links work to introduce a sentence that opposes the previous one. Let's see how these links work within a sentence (at the end of this article, you will find a list with examples of sentences with causal links):
- "We married but our marriage didn't work out”: the adversarial link but join two sentences to establish an opposition (We got married / our marriage didn't work out)
