50 Examples of Simplicity
Miscellanea / / April 22, 2022
Simplicity is the quality of being simple, without ornaments or embellishments. For example: a plate of spaghetti with nothing but butter.
For the social scientist Herbert Simon, simplicity is a matter of perspective, since each person may have a different idea of what simplicity means. For example: a white wall can be simple for one observer, while for another it can mean something very complicated, like a metaphor of the depth of thought or an artistic cry.
As a personality trait, simplicity implies that individuals need little to live and enjoy small things. Also that they do not like luxuries or excess elements in their lives, internally or externally. For example: a tourist traveling with a small backpack.
There are also philosophies, such as Stoicism, that point to a life as modest and humble as possible, in which you only have what is necessary to live. This simplicity is seen as a way to purify the soul and develop inner spirituality.
