The endocrine system is the system that produces hormones to regulate the functioning of the body. In this way, the endocrine system it is formed from glands, tissue in charge of the synthesis of said substances; the most relevant glands in this regard are the testicles, the ovaries, the pancreas, the adrenal glands, the epiphysis, the hypothalamus, the thyroid, and the pituitary gland. He endocrine system it works by generating various signals on a chemical level, signals that will elicit a response from the cells that have the receptors for the hormones that come into play. Thus, the hormones enter the bloodstream and will have an effect on some aspect of the functioning of the living being in question.
Of glands and hormones
He endocrine system can become complex in its behavior, hormones are not always used to affect the functions of the organism directly, but from what is known as a system of signs. Thus, a gland can emit a certain hormone that will stimulate the production of other hormones that will later affect some vital function. It is by this type of procedure that reference is made to a system, that is, to a set of elements that maintain processes in an interrelated way to achieve different
goals. The above leads us to establish the difference between two types of hormones, the trophic and the are trophic. In the first case there is a hormonal action on other glands that in turn produce other hormones; thus, it can be said that trophic hormones are hormones that stimulate the generation of others. On the contrary, non-trophic hormones are those that act on other body systems, causing them to have a certain behavior under certain circumstances. Both are fundamental in the endocrine system, first establishing signals within it and then establishing signals for other areas of the organism.
The behavior of the endocrine system It is enormously important for the effective implementation of different internal activities of the body and it is from this perspective its relevance must be understood. Certainly, there are many problems health that may be due to a problem in this sense and it is for this circumstance that going to a doctor who specializes in the behavior of the endocrine system can be helpful on many occasions where there are problems with no visible cause apparent. A clear example of this circumstance can be obesity when it is independent of diet.
