A honorable mention, or honorable mention is a public recognition awarded to a person for their performance, merits, constancy, dedication, continuity, and innovations in the performance of something, whether it is a public office, educational institution, or in the workplace in a company or factory. Honorable mentions can be made in diploma format, or in trade format. Honorable mentions are awarded by an authority, be it governmental, business, educational, police, medical, cultural, etc. After a study or analysis of performance, merit, quality, perseverance, or dedication, the decision is made to give an honorary recognition to the person who is considered worthy.
Example of honorable mentions for studies:
Heroes of the Revolution Elementary School.
Honorable Mention for Excellence in Studies.
The student is awarded:
Hermenegilda Gonzales Pereda.
For his achievements in:
- Approve the school year.
- The dedication in their primary studies.
- Obtain the highest grade point average in the school.
- Have a record of attendance throughout the school year.
