Importance of Verbs

Each type of word has a specific function. If we focus on verbs, they allow us to communicate actions or feelings. At the same time, they are special words, since they have the ability to incorporate extensive information.
What is it trying to express?
To know all that it manifests, it is necessary to know its characteristics main. Thus, each verbal form expresses a number, a person, a tense and a mood.
As for the number, just like the nouns or the adjectivesThey can be singular or plural. They are in the singular when the action is performed by a single person (for example, I run or he works) and they are in the plural when the action is carried out by more than one person (we study or they they play).
Verbs can be expressed in three different persons: the first, the second and the third (the first is the one who speaks or acts and can be me or we-as, the second refers to one interlocutor or several and it can be you, you-as and the third refers to someone different and it can be he/she or they). In some cases, there are verb forms that do not have persons and no pronoun can be put before them. personal (in this case it is the non-personal forms of the verb, which are the infinitive, the gerund and the participle).
On the other hand, every verb expresses the time in which the action takes place. The three main tenses are: past or preterite, present and future. The forms in the past refer to something that has already happened, those that are in the present indicate that something is happening at that very moment and those that are in the future communicate what has not yet happened. happened.
Verbs come in three different moods: indicative, subjunctive, and imperative.
With each of these modes different actions are expressed. With the indicative we communicate actions that really happen (if I say drawing often, I am saying something that really happens). With the subjunctive we express some kind of doubt or possibility (for example, it is possible that I drink a soda). With the imperative mood, orders are given (for example, put your hands on the table).
The use of the subjunctive mood is especially difficult for those who study Spanish.
If I say "when the game is over we could go to dinner" the verb form ends is in the present subjunctive because it is not saying something that is really going to happen but something that is possible to happen. In this way, the present subjunctive is used to refer to an event in the future.
The subjunctive is also used to express emotions, opinions or hypothesis. These particularities of the subjunctive mood generate a certain difficulty among foreign students.
