Importance of Distributive Justice

An ancient concept for still current phenomena.- Since time immemorial, since the human being began to live in societies, the oldest thinkers have already begun to devise an abstract but very important concept such as that of distributive justice. It is this idea that is related to the distribution or the distribution of available resources in a community.
According to this concept, societies must be organized on the basis of equality and therefore distributive justice. implies that with so many resources available, a way must be found so that all members receive an equal share of those resources. Distributive justice is almost impossible in current societies in which the capitalism, which is established on the division between powerful and non-powerful, prevails. However, one can take some of the ideals of the concept of distributive justice and make it capitalist means there are forms of distribution of the wealth of a community much more egalitarian.
Practical features of a highly theoretical concept
In very concrete and practical terms, we can say that what distributive justice proposes is that all the goods and resources of a society must be equally distributed among its members. In this way, if a community produces a certain amount of food, according to the precept of justice distributive, they should be distributed equally among all those who make up that community, without differences.
This idea, proposed by Aristotle in Ancient Greece as a moral element of the human being and his condition, has been taken in general terms and within the specific particularities by States and governments known as Welfare States, those that are in charge of assuring the humblest sectors of the population access to rights and therefore to a higher level of consumption and access to goods than in liberal-type States or of free market. It is usual for these types of decisions to be made within the framework of a high ideological presence regarding the need to build more egalitarian societies.
Criticism of the principle of distributive justice
Within the world of politics and the management of the resources of a territory governed by a State, we find detractors of this premise and this is where liberal ideals enter the scene. This type of ideology understands that each human being is capable of fending for himself and that then need the cooperation or assistance of any State or institution that implies redistribution egalitarian.
In general, liberal principles hide a significant inequality that means that some members of society have access to all rights while others find themselves in a much more vulnerable.
