Importance of Values

we understand the values as the principles that govern human behavior, and direct the aspirations of individuals, or even of companies, in favor of its improvement or realization. They are the guidelines that mark human and/or social behaviors, guiding them towards behaviors that presume improvement in the development of the person or of a community.
However, in a more specific way, to define the values, we must distinguish them according to their condition as individual values (human values), or as collective values, from which social values and cultural values are distinguished.
The first, are nourished by the premises that drive the human being in his progress in the continuous search for perfection. On the other hand, social values are the principles that generate the common actions of the individuals who belong to a community. And thirdly, cultural values are identified with the base on which the identity of a people, its uses and customs, is developed.
Therefore, and based on its definition, values are important and necessary, since they are the pillars on which the human identity, serve as a guide to be able to live together on the basis of social synergy, and are the condition that forms and distinguishes a community.
But not all the values have the same importance, the values are systematized and organized in a hierarchical way in value systems that interrelate them with each other, forming relationships of need and dependency between them. In this way, depending on the social group in question, more relevance is given to some values than to others, despite the fact that there are relationships of interdependence. And so, based on these central values, they materialize as the Legal System, which is instituted in order to protect, organize and regulate the coexistence in a desired social order.
Thus, the training in values It is essential, as much as the values themselves are important, to ensure that they survive and solidify in social relations, from a perspective of cohesion and integration in coexistence. Through the family, the school, and the rest of the social groups to which the person may belong, training in values is carried out through social interaction. However, according to the latest educational trends, it is intended to institutionalize and plan this training with the aim of humanizing education, recognizing the unquestionable importance that values sustain.
