Concrete Poetry Example

The literary genre known as concrete poetry arises in the mid-twentieth century and differs from traditional poetry in that it not only seeks to make the words sound in poetic rhyme but in addition to that, figures are formed with them or distributed in some way on the sheet where they are written, in this way the author of the concrete poetry add more visual elements so that the reader can appreciate the work in front of him.
The main author of the concrete poetry It was EugenGomringer, although in reality this proposal was well received all over the world, finding highly recognized representatives in many countries such as Noigandres in Brazil.
The main characteristic of this type of poetry is the creation of figures using words to achieve it, the number of them is few but the repetition and the typefaces are those that enrich the work, since words without their spatial location lack meaning or do not give the impact that the poet wants to cause in his readers. That is, the literary expression is found by combining the words with the way they are placed, which gives meaning to the message that it would not otherwise have.
