Importance of Ecological Succession

Since the beginning of life on Earth, the different ecosystems of the nature and the communities of living beings They have been changed, mutated in a significant way, and this is not accidental: they have always mutated when the natural environment did not offer them a way to survive and for this reason its very nature adapted to the conditions of that environment.
First of all, a succession refers to two stages of something that is (precisely) successive in time, that is, one occurs after another and as a consequence of the first stage. For example, in a valley where a forest fire breaks out, many species can be seriously damaged by the advance of the fire. In this case, the species that are not damaged, must adapt to being part of a habitat that is no longer the same as it was before. That's why, a secondary succession is caused, since the species do not begin to adapt to the environment "from scratch" (as it would be a primary succession) but before a particular fact they are forced to adapt: the species undergo mutations or transformations, since
soil, air and even water (abiotic factors) have also undergone important transformations. These particular events that produce a mutation within ecological succession are part of a kind of crisis within a ecosystem natural, which is always formed bybiotic factors(those that have life, such as plants and animals) and abiotic factors (those that do not have life, such as water, soil, rocks, air). This crisis within the ecosystem breaks the goal of every ecosystem, which is to reach a climax in which there is a "ideal state" where there is stability and the interactions between biotic and abiotic factors are harmonious. Everything that prevents reaching the climax of each ecosystem is also related to the concept that, Starting from these facts that force living beings to adapt to the environment, they also allow them to reach a state of ecological evolution.
Living beings have the ability to adapt to the natural environment to ensure survivalbut in the case of humans it also has the ability to transform the natural environment, and that is why awareness about the consequences of these transformations in the environment becomes extremely important natural, since it is also these modifications that force other animal and plant species to adapt to a stage of their habitat.
