The theory of the various intelligences is one that maintains that each individual is made of a variety of intelligences; that there is not one but several. And so, it is established that each of us has a unique combination of intelligences in which some predominate and others have second place. One of the intelligences to which this theory refers is the intelligence emotional and many maintain that it is perhaps one of the most important when it comes to establishing bonds with others and empathizing.
Is it something born or can it be developed?
What is understood as emotional intelligence is a set of characteristics and abilities that a person can develop and that have to do mainly with abilities to recognize and work with both their own emotions and those of others. In this sense, it has to do with the ease with which a person can show her emotions, work with them and be a more expressive or sensitive person.
In addition, it is very important to empathize with other people. This is because when you recognize your own emotions you have a special sensitivity to recognize those of others. Those people who have a high level of emotional intelligence are more open to work and better understand the emotions of others, both those that have to do with
happiness as with sadness Let us clarify here that this type of intelligence does not mean being only expressive regarding the own emotions but knowing how to handle them for one's own benefit and that of others that one loves. surround. In which cases can it be useful?
There is no single answer to this question here. A person can develop different jobs or have different occupations. However, it goes without saying that your contribution will always be more important in those areas where you have to interact with other people and make that deal constructive and positive.
So it is especially beneficial that a person with these characteristics is, for example, a social worker, psychologist, teacher, nurse. All these are professions where the person must have a special sensitivity and a lot, constant contact with other people. In some cases, it even implies knowing control emotions to be able to become even more sensitive to those who may need assistance or accompaniment.
