Importance of Agricultural Production

Since time immemorial, man has worked the land for the production of their own food. However, there is a milestone that should not be missed when it comes to agricultural production. The men of the time paleolithic They were expert hunters, and they were nomads, that is, since they did not produce their own food, they had to move, move from one place to another in search of food that the earth offered them, be it vegetables or animals. The key change, from neolithic age the thing is man began to produce his own food, and for this reason, he could no longer continue being a nomad: if he left his orchards, his animal pens, other men would come to make use of them.
For this reason, man began to be sedentary, to settle in a specific and fixed place for periods of time longer than in the Paleolithic era. Furthermore, although they needed hunting techniques to kill the animals they raised themselves, the men of the Neolithic instead of perfecting their hunting tools (as Paleolithic men did) they improved their
work tools to intervene on the ground. On the other hand, and it is not a minor fact, they began to exchange the surplus between different families or tribes, thus laying the foundations of trade.By perfecting the production techniques, they could increase their productive capacity, and therefore, in addition to self-sufficient, they found that they had surpluses of vegetables or animals that they could barter with their neighbors for other vegetables or animals that they did not produce.
In this way, and even when thousands of years separate us in time, at present the commercial logic of agricultural production is the same, although with the difference that, most of us, we do not produce our own food but we leave it in the hands of producers agricultural. In this, the technology it also fulfills its key role: Neolithic men, who made their tools with thick tree branches and stones, would be left open-mouthed if witnessing the elements with which work is done today in agricultural production: satellite navigation systems, light aircraft for spraying, irrigation planters and harvesters, laboratories in which seeds are optimized and genetically improved, fully digitized dairy farms, etc.
Agricultural production includes two large branches within it: on the one hand, the agriculture, which is the cultivation of vegetables of any type (legumes, oilseeds, leafy vegetables, etc.), and on the other hand, the cattle raising, which is the production of livestock, also of any type (cattle, pigs, goats, etc.).
