Importance of Faith and Hope
Miscellanea / / August 08, 2023
there are certain values and attitudes that are necessary to be able to carry out the wonder that is life in a more sensible way and with greater strength. Many of these values are usually related to religious elements or aspects, but they can also be applied to a secular life that does not have any particular belief. In any case, they are important values in our life and can help us better cope with different situations.
The need to believe in something and find answers
Although Western societies today have grown towards an ever greater secularism and secularization of life, reality shows us that the human being, being a thinking being, asks questions or questions his life and wants to find answers even where he knows he can never have them.
Faith and hope are two ways that human beings have found to find answers with which they feel comfortable, believable and accessible enough to be able to tolerate those things that are painful, inexplicable, sudden. Faith and hope also give courage to face moments of doubt, fear, uncertainty or anxiety with a much better built strength. It does not depend on whether one believes in a god or some divine entity but rather on the faith one develops in oneself.
What do religions say about this?
without needing to distinguish between religion and religion, it is clear that all of them give faith and hope a central place when it comes to building the identity of the believer. It is not possible for religion to exist without the faith of its followers because it is this that makes a person believe in something that he did not see, that it is not present in body and form but that it is more than anything symbolic and that we decided that he accompany us or No.
Faith in a religion and the hope that things that are wrong can be solved make human beings find relief and can deal with everything that is inexplicable. At the same time, they give us a routine to keep in mind in our daily lives, trying to apply these elements to different situations in our lives, especially in dealing with others people, in social ties, in compassion, accompaniment and in the tolerance regarding the needs of others.
