Importance of Teaching Practice

In order to understand this concept, the first thing we must take into account is its meaning. In principle, this concept is defined as a social activity carried out by a teacher or professor when teaching. It is obvious that the teacher will be influenced by the training academic, the school in which he practices, and the country in which he lives. Furthermore, it is determined by the Social context, historical and institutional. In teaching practice, spontaneous solutions, pedagogical functions and a social setting must be developed.
What is intended to be indicated by all of the above is that a teacher is not only a person who is in a class and he dictates, that is, he reads what is written in a text or simply tells the students to do a series of tasks. What we are talking about is that a teacher has to be a communicator of his subject, or of the specialty in which this professional has made his career. It is important to understand that the teaching practice we are talking about, then, has two elements fundamental: on the one hand we have the communicator, the teacher, and on the other hand the receiver, who is the student.
The important thing is that the communicator, in addition to his knowledge, has the ability to convey his subject, the message of what he has to teach, in a clear way to the student and that he has to be able to make it arrive in a way active. By this we mean that the receiver does not have to be a mere spectator of what is taught, but the message has to encourage the person who receives it and encourages him to ask questions, intervene, dialogue, etc. so that the message is clear, and that this participation encourages the student in a positive way, awakening in him the desire to learn from him.
That is why teaching practice implies that the teacher must not only know what speaks, but also to learn techniques to convey the wisdom that he has accumulated during his years of apprenticeship, both during the degree and, in parallel, outside of it. Well-focused teaching practice can awaken in students something as important and positive as the need to learn and the desire to seek new challenges within their studies.
In short, this means that the teacher and the student are on the same path in parallel and that these two elements feed each other. On the one hand, the teacher increases the student's knowledge and, on the other hand, the student also, in some way, teaches the teacher. The teaching practice also implies that the teacher has to adapt to the type of school, students, etc., in which he is going to exercise his job.
