When you talk about textual prototypes refers to the set of characteristics that a text type has and that allows it to be grouped or classified. These characteristics are visible in the structure of the text.

There are 5 types of textual prototypes What are they:

1. Argumentation: These texts are intended to convince or persuade the receiver of the message that the sender's point of view is correct. Direct wording is used that must be consistent.
2. Description: Descriptive writings are intended to express in words the characteristics and properties of something or someone, in such a way that the interlocutor can imagine it.
3. Dialogue: It is a conversation between two or more people.
4. Exposure: It is intended that the receiver can understand a fact, knowledge or study that the issuer is interested in transmitting.
5. Narration: It is telling an event in an orderly way.
