The proof of residenceIt is a document issued by the delegation or municipal council where the person requesting it lives.

This document is requested as a requirement on many occasions to carry out some other type of procedure, such as parole, housing, bank credit, educational credit, material credit, employment, mortgage credit, opposition exam, alimony, income to the army, ratification of domicile, naturalization letter, late registration, foreign exchange process, electoral process, or political among others.

The requirements that must be met by the person requesting a proof of residence They are:

• Be of age.
• Original and copy of birth certificate.
•  Original and copy of Unique Population Registry Code (CURP).
• Original and copy of official identification with photograph (IFE, valid passport, valid driver's license, military card, SEFOMEX).
• Two current black and white, or color, child-size photographs on matte paper.
• Original and copy of document proving the applicant's seniority in the place of residence (the document must contain: applicant's name and date. For example: proof of income, notarized lease, transactional agreement, registration receipts or tuition, invoices with stamp and letterhead registered with the SAT, property tax receipt, pink sheet from the IMSS, between others).

• Original and copy of recent proof of address (maximum of two to three months) within the municipal jurisdiction (water, electricity or telephone).
• Prove legal stay with an FM2 or FM3 immigration document in force at the time of application (only in the case of foreigners).
