Linear Story Example

A linear story It is a story, tale or anecdote, which is expressed chronologically, so this story is also known as a chronological story.

In these stories, the ideas are continuous and logical, they have a beginning and an end, in general terms, this is the most common and simplest story.

To get my current job, I went for an interview last month, and since I really needed it, I took the necessary precautions, in case I had an exam.

I used my savings and bought the most up-to-date material in Administration, to be up to date, and indeed, I made very good progress. But one day after the interview I realized that I had no clothes for the occasion, all my shirts were worn and my pants showed their use, the suits that I wore in school no longer remained.

Desperate I went out to look for my old school friends, but many had already moved and others were not there.

I went to the house of my friend Ismael, my high school classmate, but no one was there. On leaving I met his brother Héctor, who arrived well dressed in his white BMW; I told him what was happening to me and without a word he signaled for me to get into his car; Since we never got along very well, I didn't argue, I felt like he wasn't talking to me because of how cruel I was to him when I was younger.

At one point he took me to a shopping center and we went to a boutique, in that place they treated me like never before They had done it, and in a moment Hector disappeared from my sight, I thought that he abandoned me with the package of clothes.

The time has come when I was wearing the suit, and when the employee left to make me the note, Héctor appeared, he gave me five thousand pesos and withdrew almost immediately, he just made a sign with his hand saying to wait for him a little while.

I paid for the clothes and I had five hundred pesos left in cash, the girl at the cash desk was slow to attend to me and when I went out to look for Héctor I couldn't find him.

I went out to where the car was and looked through the window, but from one moment to another when I looked up he was already getting into the car.

I got on and told him that I would pay him everything with the first payment I get, if they hire me, and without realizing it we were already in front of my house.

I got out of the car, he just greeted me by sticking his hand out the window.

He does not want to talk to me, he will surely charge me the favor, I better not hurt the clothes to return them the next day, but I will go to his house to let him know.

The interview came, which was on a Friday, and after the interview I went straight to his house, now I did find Ismael and told him that I wanted to see Héctor.

Ismael replied that yesterday morning was his funeral and today was the first day of the novena that he would pray to him.

What happened?

Well, he died in combat, don't forget that he belonged to the foreign legion, and he died in a military raid four days ago.

I could not believe it, and I only had one coin of the money he lent me, I came to tell him that I did get the place and that in the first payment I would return what he lent me.

I don't understand anything, I was with him and I received the money.
