Semiannual Project Report.

As of April 29, until May 24 of this year, the students of the second semester of Hospitality and Tourism, we carry out the operation of a project that has been preparing for a semester previous. This consisted of creating and subsequently operating a restaurant, in order to increase our cooking and management skills.

The project was created from scratch, looking for a restaurant concept, a name, a marketing plan, and even the financial projections, later the stage of testing recipes, decoration and advertising was passed.

Due to good planning, the project was very successful, people were very happy with the restaurant and a lot of money was coming in, however we had financial difficulties caused by the bad calculations that were made in the warehouse, which could be solved in the last week of operation, when we created promotions to be able to sell everything that we thought up to that moment surplus.

The learning we acquire is seen in many areas, from the logistics part of a project of such magnitude, the part operational, which we could see that it was much more complicated than it seemed, even what teamwork means in this industry.
