The descriptive summary is the type of summary that has a synopsis of the content of each chapter of a given book or work. The descriptive summary contains the main ideas and essential data of the book or work to which it refers, in a condensed but enclosing the main ideas of the book, so that all the essential points of the book or text are in the resume. This type of abstract contains data referring to the text, which facilitates its identification, as in the case of abstracts. descriptive library descriptions, which are used to speed up the search for some works that, due to their length, make it difficult to consult quick way.
It must have some identification points of the book or text to which it summarizes, such as:
- Qualification.
- Author.
- Translator. (if any).
- Theme of the book.
- Editorial.
- Year of edition.
- Descriptive summary of the text in question.
