It is common to buy and sell; but How do we know what to buy?
It is in ancient Rome where you can find traces of advertisements on walls made with lime and charcoal, used to sell slaves and for politics.
In the Middle Ages, the direct ancestor of advertising posters was found in the banners that placed to inform the populace of important matters, and the minstrels may have contributed their grain of sand.
The first written advertisements appeared in the London Gazette in 1652, to which lithographs were added, making them more attractive.
The industrial revolution prompted entrepreneurs to promote their products, giving rise to the First advertising agency in London in the year 1812, thus beginning the marketing industry. Marketing uses all the recent technologies to carry out its work: print media (posters, newspapers and magazines), radio, television, Internet and cell phones.
The commercials have become more sophisticated, creating infomercials and directing them to a specific audience:
- To young people, to whom they offer games, fashion, fun, technical novelties, fashionable and sports vehicles.
- To housewives, with kitchen utensils and novelties for the home.
- To the men, with tools, accessories for cars and technology.
Each branch of society has its own advertising space and receives special advertisements, seeking the highest profits for advertisers.
A status, Fashion, sophistication, rebellion, modernity, avant-garde and sex, are tools and artillery for marketing agents around the world, creating needs and desires tailored to each of U.S.
Advertising follows the course of the times and invades spaces that could not have been imagined before, such as advertisements on cell phones and social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter.
