Square meters of uneven terrain
Math / / July 04, 2021
Removing the square meters of a plot is easy and when the need arises to remove the square meters of uneven terrain the following technique can be used.
To know how to get the square meters of an irregular terrain we will take the following measurements as a basis
B = 60 meters
b = 52 meters
H = 40 meters
h = 38 METERS.
In this case you require the calculation of the area of an irregular polygon.
To calculate these areas, the irregular figure must be divided into simpler and regular figures, the most basic being the triangle and the rectangle.
Example of square meters of irregular land:
In the following graph, the black lines represent a polygon with the measurements you have provided, while with the red lines, we have divided the irregular polygon into regular shapes, in this case a square and three triangles.
Now, since we have divided it into regular figures, we proceed to take the area of each of the figures.
- Rectangle: B X H = 52 X 38 = 1976 m2
- Triangle: B X H
- 2
- Triangle 1: 3 X 38 = 114/2 = 57 m2
- Triangle 2: 1.6 X 52 = 83.2 / 2 = 41.6 m2
- Triangle 3: 5 X 39.6 = 198/2 = 99 m2
Total area: 1976 + 57 + 41.6 + 99 = 2173.6 m2
In any case, on the sketch or map of the terrain, it must be divided into the basic figures where the area of each one can be obtained, then they are added and the result of the total area is obtained.
