The lyric is a literary genre, in this genre the exponent expresses his affections and feelings both in verses and in song, the The objective of the lyric is that it produce the same or at least similar sensation in everyone who hears it, be it the singer or poet or the listener.
Characteristics of the lyric:
Source.- The exact origin is not known but it is calculated that it is the basis or one of the bases of the language of the verse, it is known that this is totally linked to the song and the expression of the feelings of the character; thus the singer would express pain, fear, joy or depression and his goal is for the listener to understand him as such.
Composition.- This genre is made up of three basic parts:
- Idea.- This consists in the concept that you want to express in the verse, there is no rule on the subject and the meaning of the idea.
- Message.- This consists of the idea expressed directly, which can be applied both in verse alone and accompanied by music.
- Listener.- This is the last part of the cycle, this is the one that receives the verse or song and if it receives the message correctly, it can accommodate the feeling expressed.

- Verse.- Each poetic line is linked with the following lines to form the complete idea and achieve communication.
- Stanza.- This is the necessary minimum of verses that are in poetic rhythm.
