POSITION ANALYSIS
Job analysis consists of obtaining, evaluating and organizing information about an organization's jobs, by defining its duties, tasks and work activities. Its goal is the analysis of each job position and not that of the people who perform it.
Methods for gathering information about job analysis.
1. Interviews.- Formal and in-depth talk carried out between two or more people face to face in order to obtain verifiable information.

Individual
Collective
At higher levels
2. Questionnaire.- Questions related to all possible indications about the position, its content and its characteristics.
3. Direct observation.- A method that is slow, expensive and is more susceptible to error. POSITION DESCRIPTION
It is a written statement of what a jobholder does, how she does it, and why she does it. It must accurately state the content of the position, the environment and the conditions of employment.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
A written description of the attitudes necessary for the person occupying it: education, experience, ability, physical and mental effort, supervision and judgment.
PURPOSES OF THE ANALYSIS AND DESCRIPTION OF JOBS
1. Determine what the employee is expected to do in the position, in terms of the specific tasks and activities that make up the role of the job.
2. Know how the work is executed.
3. Determine the skills that the position requires to carry out its mission.
4. Place employees in appropriate positions.
