Characteristics Of Matter
Chemistry / / July 04, 2021
Matter is how everything that occupies a place in space is defined, that is in motion and transformation and it is through the study of chemical and physical phenomena that their existence. Man uses instruments and devices such as microscopes and currently the adronesian collider, to be able to study matter in its most intimate secrets.
The characteristics of matter they are basically three:
- Mass
- Volume and
- Density
You have to make a clear distinction between matter and everything that is not, and everything that exists is matter, regardless of its physical situation; but the non-existent, the simple ideas, which are not in any tangible way, are for example dreams, names and ideas in general and although we handle it constantly It is through physics and chemistry that we can measure and study all the elements of the matter.
All matter is made of chemical elements, whether pure or mixed, it is not known if all the elements have already been found of matter, but all those that have been found and are contained in the periodic table of the elements.
Main aspects and characteristics of the matter:
The first characteristic of matter is volume, this consists of the place that a body occupies in space and is measurable through physical-mathematical or chemical procedures.
The mass, this is the second characteristic of the meter and it is measurable by means of its weight: kilos, grams etc., pounds and fractions of pounds.
Density.- This is the mixture that can be found between volume and mass, in other words, density is the ratio of mass to volume.
Energy is a form of matter that is defined as scattered matter, thus light, radio waves, x-rays, heat, magnetism, are manifestations of "dispersed energy."
The matter has been classified mainly into two:
- Mixtures
- Pure substances.
Mixtures are like water, air and alloys that are products formed by mixing different materials and pure substances, which are isolated from any other diverse material.
