Technical Text Example

We can understand how technical texts to newsrooms that require a specific process for their preparation, a process without which they cannot be understood as such.
So we will explain these three technical texts:
- Test.
- Report.
- Resume.
Each of these requires its own technique in order to exist, and in the absence of this, they simply cannot be understood as technical documents.
Technical text example:
1.- Essay.- This consists of the expression or interpretation of a subject without the influence of explicit or strict precedents that influence the personal criteria of the essayist.
This is always written in prose and can be long or short (predominantly short), in this it is broken down and interpreted in a free but emphatic and deep personal appreciation. In the tests there are different variants but among these there will always be one applicable to the case at hand:
Distinctive aspects:
Start with describing the topic in the most neutral way possible.
A conclusion or summary must be made at the end, which expresses, among other aspects, the opinion or criterion of the essayist.
Points to develop an essay:
- Planning.- It is the process required to establish the test parameters.
- Organization.- This is to prioritize the concepts in a logical way.
- Design.- This can be used for many processes, concept map, technical design, project, etc.
- Drafting.- It is the application of formats for its conformation.
- Titles.- These are posted for easy access and understanding.
- Bibliography.- This is essential to be able to verify the sources and rectify data if necessary.
2.- Report.- This expresses the results of investigations, processes whether completed or in their construction process.
This is a text that focuses on reporting on various topics, whether they are events, activities, circumstances, and they are generally aimed at an already defined reader or readers.
Distinctive aspects:
- It can be at the request of a hierarchical superior.
- It can be directed to one person or many people, who will evaluate it.
- It even contains complete annexes that graphically explain all the steps and points of greatest influence or relevance.
There are different types of reports:
- Expository.- which is where events or processes are described without any interpretations or points of view of any kind.
- Interpretative.- In this contrary to the previous one, the situations are interpreted and it admits conclusions and recommendations directed to the reader.
- Demonstrative.- This does contain theses or theories, which are raised by the author where the steps are described and are demonstrated logically, chronologically or in both, producing conclusions after demonstration.
3.- Summary.- This is based on the selection of important and conceptually complete information, which express the main ideas of the source information.
This document may be influenced by the writer, and perhaps reflect his judgment, but without losing the context of the source.
Distinctive aspects:
- Your ideas must be objective.
- You must be fully aware of the main ideas of the text.
- Use the appropriate words that allow the connection of ideas and clarity of expression.
- Brevity.
- Narrative style in its writing.
Highlights for the preparation of a summary:
- Veracity.- Express the precise concept of the initial author.
- Objective.- Express the principle or objective that the author wishes to reflect.
- Full.- Concepts should not be omitted, as this would reduce the clarity of the main idea and the topic.
- Congruence.- Consistency is essential, as misunderstood or expressed ideas cause confusion.
- Originality.- This is one of the most important points from the school point of view, as it must express the application and understanding of the subject by the student.
- Correction.- The correctness in the syntactic and spelling application are essential, because the bad expression always causes confusion.
