Greece, the cradle of Western civilization, had a polytheistic religiosity, based on a great mythology full of gods and demigods lacking morality and responsible for guaranteeing the order of things, destination.
In ancient Greece, man did not have a religious internalization, since, despite the cultural importance that the gods had, according to Protagoras, it was the same man who made up the center and measure of all things.
Rome, who has always been wanted to be considered a younger brother of the Greeks, is one of the most impressive civilizations of which the world has witnessed, although we cannot deny the enormous Hellenic influence on their culture, it is important to recognize them with an identity own. As far as religion is concerned, the Romans adopted many of the Greek gods although they changed their names and in some cases their physical representation.
Below is a table with the Greek gods with their respective equal for the Romans and their meaning in both cultures, which, it should be said, was the same:
