A good advice for you to study a subject is always to create a mind map, this will help you to have better memorization and to understand how different concepts are related, but... What is a mind map and how is it makes?
A mind map is a graphical representation or creation of diagrams of a specific topic or a main idea on which to They give off the main and most important ideas that define the initial idea, and from these they start the concepts that complement the theme, This way you will be able to structure much better by hierarchizing the main concepts and you will provide your brain with a learning path fluid.
What elements does a mind map include?
- Central idea (located in the center of the sheet)
- Main concepts at least 5 or 6
- Secondary concepts. These are derived from the main concepts and their task is to be a support or complement the information.
- Connectors or links (same that will exemplify the relationship between the concepts)
- Figures or images. (These serve as a support to locate or highlight main concepts).
It should be noted that although it is true that mind maps are very useful when we want to study, they also help us in other areas such as, in the organization of information, Generation of new ideas, decision making, creating genealogical trees, and even helps us to improve communication within the companies, as it provides a way to specify what tasks need to be performed, who is responsible and the phase where you can move on to another Department.
Why can a simple mind map help us to do so many activities? Very simple because we can occupy both hemispheres of our brain; our left hemisphere is the one in charge of processing the words while the right is in charge of the images and symbols, by combining both our learning experience becomes much more enriching and of course simple.
