Research is a process or technique that through the scientific method acquires the necessary information to obtain a verifiable result that allows universal acceptance that it would be obtained by means of a verification and this same verification would allow to reach the conclusion or a law fostered in the veracity of the data, the results and the investigation.
Thus research can be obtained in different ways and by different means, thus the research characteristics We can define them as true and reliable information; This information can be of the documentary order, by particular investigation (observation). by experimentation etc.
Elements and characteristics of the investigation
In the investigation, four main elements can be seen, which we separate as follows:
- Subject (researcher)
- Object (what is investigated)
- Medium (process with which it is investigated)
- End (objective for which it is investigated)
Research is widely distinguished by bringing together and applying the scientific method and accompanying the progress of humanity in solving its problems.
It is research that allows the development of all scientific, social and even religious branches so that a formalization of knowledge is carried out and the most feasible results that can be obtained are obtained to appreciate.
With historical research, doubts can be cleared about events that directly influence society and science, by explaining and developing on each specific topic.
In medicine, research produces very convenient effects for society, its applications are of universal order and denies both myths and realities on issues related to medicine itself.
The steps can vary, and this will depend on the researcher and the problem being solved.
- Define the problem (here we establish what we investigate and project the possibilities and principles that we need to obtain).
- Planning (here we plan and establish the processes that we have to follow to obtain a feasible result)
- Observation (this stage is found in all stages of the investigation)
- Archiving and data collection (also applies throughout the investigation period)
- Experimentation (at this point tests are carried out to draw the conclusion or conclusions, this stage can be carried out at almost every moment of the investigation and can be repeated)
- Conclusion (this is the stage in which the end points that are derived from all the investigations carried out are established)
- Law or conclusion (this is the step left by the last point which usually establishes what is established at the end of the investigation).
The importance of research is of vital importance for the human being, to the extent that in the beginning man used empiricism (as primary research).
