The word factual or factual comes from the Latin language which means “fact or event”. The factual science It is in charge of studying events based on experimentation and observation. We can see some examples in sciences like physics and psychology, as they are supposed to be actual events, and as a consequence there must be evidence of how to verify those facts.
These sciences are based on looking for a bit of coherence between what happens in a phenomenon and the way of expressing them mentally. But as we said before, experimentation is necessary, since for example nobody would buy a drug, without first having undergone the necessary tests to really see that works.
So the main motive for studying these sciences is based on events, and the proof is based on passing the fact-checking test. In addition, the factual sciences go very hand in hand with the experiments of things that exist in the real world.
All factual sciences such as chemistry, physiology and biology, etc., investigate the facts very closely and are based on sensory experiences that with the passage of time and research can become clear facts and concise.
According to Bunge (1983) the classification of the sciences is given according to the approach to which knowledge is oriented scientific, on the study of social or natural processes, or the process of mathematical or psychological.
Factual science example:
An example of factual science is biology, since it is based on the study of the facts and phenomena that occur in the environment, this science observes and experiences events to show that they are real.
