The instrumental text is that text that is subject to a pre-established model, and that serves to directly communicate the information it contains. The pre-established model can be a format in which there are certain requirements that need to be filled, or a formal structure, within which the message will be delivered, sometimes using some formalities or language specialized.
Therefore, bibliographic cards, study cards, and forms are a form of instrumental text. The formal letters, the report, the official letter, the memorandum, or the curriculum vitae, also constitute an instrumental text, since they are addressed to a person, following a pre-established format and transmitting specific information, often using certain technicalities related to the activity being carried out. treating.
Generally, the instrumental text is addressed to public or private authorities to expose a problem, request or request, and superiors also use the instrumental text to make a resolution or response known, or to make a release.
To elaborate the instrumental text, a clear language must be used, exposing the facts and ideas, in orderly and logical way, so that they fulfill their informative, expository or petitioning function, with precision and clarity.
