The information is strictly a group of data, and the information characteristics they are distinguished by being singular or joint and can be ordered; they are perceived by the senses and are accommodated by data, symbols or codes.
It is a basic tool of culture, since information and the type of information will always be the basis of culture and development.
The information always depends on the encoding and decoding, as well as the interpretation that is given to it.
Characteristics of the information and your data:
Data.- Information is a set of data, these are collected and encoded to be able to archive and save them.
Order.- The information without order totally loses the sense, which forces us to know what data we use and to decode it appropriately.
Veracity.- In order to have an optimal service, the information must be orderly, truthful and useful, although the sense may change, especially in new broadcast systems where truthfulness is found in
Direction.- The information must be directed to a specific point or direction, which is why information such as medical, legal or technical data, is always directed in a specific direction.
Classification.- The data is classified so that it can be accessed, the classification of the data belongs to under the control of a technical science called archivology, or archivist, who keeps the data in a optimal.
Applications.- The uses of information are very varied, and at one point the information was considered a treasure, while in other places it belonged to an elite who controlled it. It was used in a practical sense by workers, peasants, artisans, etc., through the transmission person to person and for this they used the apprentice technique, who eventually became teacher.
Types of information.- Information is classified in many different ways, and can cover all kinds of topics, but it can be classified into several main aspects:
- Spoken information
- Written information
- Empirical information
- Religious information
- Technical information
- Scientific information
- Cultural information
- Humanistic information
And as expected, each one has its respective subdivisions.
Diffusion.- The dissemination of information has always had controversies and these varied depending on the time and circumstance.
Thus, as soon as the churches came to avoid the dissemination of the so-called pagan information, (not according to the bible, Koran etc.,) in another sense they were forced and closed as secrets (masons), who jealously guarded their information and only handed it over to those they considered appropriate to receive and make good use of same.
In this sense we have to explain the creation of journalism, as a means of dissemination and other older media such as libraries and cultural heritage
Finally, the Internet emerged, which will disseminate information through digital data of all kinds:
- Images
- Photos
- Texts
- Sounds
- Videos.
That are sent through codes that are decoded by other types of devices (computers) and finally the information returns to become a varied and meaningful system when used in new mobile systems to be transmitted in time real.
In conclusion, information is the basis of human knowledge, which has accompanied its cultural evolution, since without it and the collection that it provides, all kinds of research should be started from scratch without making progress in knowledge.
