March 21: Spring Day
Spring is one of the four seasons of the temperate zones, the transition between winter and summer.
The seasons are produced thanks to the shape of our planet and the translational movement of the Earth (Spring, summer, autumn and winter).
The term prima comes from (primer) and vera from (greenery). Astronomically, this season begins with the vernal equinox (between March 20 and 21 in the northern hemisphere, and between March 22 and 23 September in the southern hemisphere), and ends with the summer solstice (around June 21 in the northern hemisphere and December 21 in the southern hemisphere). Therefore, in Argentina, Chile and Paraguay it is celebrated on September 21, along with the "Student's Day" in the case of Argentina and Chile. In Bolivia it is celebrated on September 18, in Peru, on the 23rd along with “Youth Day” and in Mexico it is celebrated on March 21 along with “Benito Juárez's Birthday.
The seasons of the year provoke different sensations, feelings and emotions in people, but spring is the most anticipated of all, because it is when the sun warms up again, trees and flowers turn green and bloom, the temperate climate we have is very pleasant and the animals abandon their hibernation time, leaving their burrows, and rejoin their habitats
Spring is synonymous with youth, life, fresh air, sun and everything that brings colors; at this time of year we see everything with much greater vigor, freshness and beauty.
This period influences too much on the behaviors of men and women, sociologists and psychologists affirm that falling in love, allergies and euphoria are present; The causes are many and varied, from solar radiation and meteorological changes, which affect the production of hormones, to the abundant pollen in flowers.
In Mexico it is celebrated on March 21 of each year and to celebrate it, different acts are held, in schools the children carry out cultural activities such as dances or theatrical performances, wearing costumes related to the spring. On the other hand, many people go to places where there are Mayan pyramids to sunbathe on the equinox, such as Teotihuacán or Chichen-Itzá, where you can see the descent of Kukulcán (Quetzalcóatl formed with rays of light).
